On February 6, 2016 in the House of Science and Technology in Sofia was held the First Geodesic Council.
The event gathered administration, academic community, colleges of geodetic community. The initiators of the event were the four industry branch organizations - Geodesy Union, Chamber of Engineers in Geodesy, Chamber of Engineers in Investment Design and Association of Geodesic Companies. As a member of Association of Geodesic Companies "GIS - Sofia" Ltd. supported the organization of the event.
The aim of the meeting was to present a common opinion on the current state of geodesy and cadastre and to set out basic principles in the short and long term strategy for the development of geodesy in Bulgaria.
